The WSOP exec also highlighted “a recent run” of non-North American players winning the Main Event, as evidenced by Norwegian Espen Jørstad’s winning WSOP 2022 in Las Vegas in July and picking up a cool $10m. This year is the first time The Strip hosted the headlining WSOP tournament.
