WynnBET has steadily expanded its reach across the US. As well as securing this partnership in West Virginia, the operator is also currently in negotiations that could lead to access in another seven states. WynnBET is an approved sportsbook operator of the NFL, as well as an authorized gaming operator of NASCAR, NBA, and MLB. It also has partnership agreements with numerous major league teams. These include the Colorado Rockies, Memphis Grizzlies, and the New York Jets.

Gambling options in West Virginia

West Virginia was the fifth state to legalize sports betting, doing so in 2018. Anyone who is at least 21 years old and within state lines can place a bet at a retail or online sportsbook. Currently, five retail sportsbooks are in operation, in addition to numerous online sportsbooks.

The total sports betting handle was $60m in the state in September, representing the first time that total handle had passed the $30m mark since March. Of this total, about $45.8m came through online sportsbooks. The beginning of the college football and NFL seasons were the main reason for this strong performance. Sportsbooks earned revenue of more than $7.1m for the period.

Online casinos have catered to customers in the state since July 2020, with West Virginia one of only a handful of states that currently have an iGaming offering. In September, online casinos in West Virginia generated $6.2m in revenue.
